2019 SFMI Training Program
on March 4, 2019
we will begin the next training program.
Will you be one of the participants?
Everywhere there are opportunities to be fully engaged in the Lord’s work. There is a need for people who know the Gospel to go and teach and make disciples. I am quite sure that if we could know what the Lord knows about the remaining years of history, many of us would radically change our priorities. If you think you may be one of those, please be listening to the Lord and purpose to follow Him at any cost.
SFMI offers a training program with a two-fold objective: first, to make disciples; second, to train up laborers for the mission field. Originally offered as missionary training, the program has been expanded to accommodate a larger segment of the church. We accept anyone eighteen and older who wants to learn, grow in Christ, and be exercised through biblical and spiritual training. If they then are called to missions, we assist with that by extending the program to meet that goal.
The training program is a combination of teaching and practical ministry. We offer approximately 400 hours of teaching. The program runs from March through November. It begins with six months of teaching and practical training in Bend, Oregon followed by three months of practical application.
“If you have in your mind--even a little thought--to go to the training program, it’s one of the best decisions you can make in your life...It’s not about how many skills you have or...how eloquent you are; it’s about obedience to Christ. He can change your life that you might be a tool for Christ!–Jorge Rodriguez
“I encourage you all to consider the training program...especially if it seems extra impossible and overwhelming to you because I know that God loves to work in the impossible.” –Tess Wasson
SFMI Training Program Alumni gathered for a reunion in 2012.
Application deadline is 1/15/18.
